"Through my work at Free The Children, I've watched young people inspired to do incredible things just by hearing the stories of their peers around the world. I think that people underestimate how highly aware children are when it comes to their emotional knowledge.
All around us, young people face challenges. They face sickness and loss of loved ones, divorce in the family and the hardship of military deployment. These young people need a support group. It is good to know that organizations like Rainbows exist to provide a safe space to openly share emotions with peers and the facilitator.
As an honourary board member, I have had the opportunity to meet young people who have benefited from these programs. I have to say, I am proud to be a part of such an important organization. Given the opportunity, young people can do anything - we're here to help them along the way. "
